I'm bored. No one's around...everyone's doing homework. It's too late to start a prank tonight.
Don't care much for homework.
I really don't want to read the books Mum told me to, or do the things I need to for Slughorn's class. Where are my mates? Lily? Anyone? The common room is positively EMPTY. I'll even talk to you, Snivellus. Although that wouldn't be a very pleasant conversation, now would it?
I think one of you rule-obeyers should talk to me. Something interesting! Surely you aren't all doing homework.

I also do not want to think about that thing that Sirius and I discovered. It's too weird.

Lily's talking to me! Not yelling, screaming, smacking, hexing...talking! A civil conversation!
Of course, Operation: Information was a total failure, but...Lily's talking to me! And we have a theory that actually would work.
But I'm not going to think about it too much until I talk to Moony. I don't think I'll mention it to Padfoot just yet--don't want to get his hopes up. Plus, if Lily and I are right...Merlin.

Hello, my lovely Gryffindors! I know you missed me, but it couldn't be helped. I was forced to extend my Christmas vacation due to family circumstances. My mum...her cousin died. She was only thirty-two! It was terrible. She left three children behind, and my mum was forced to find homes for them...during Christmas break! I was so afraid that if I left, she would break down. You know my dad's terrible with that stuff. So I stayed and helped find the poor orphans homes. Dad finally said I'd done enough, and brought me back here...please keep my orphaned second cousins in your hearts, my friends.
